The MacGregors were wonderful to work with and were able to adjust to different needs of live programming with just a simple request. Musically the groups came across as practiced and competent. This debut albulm [Dark Beauty] is way better than expected and is remarkably accomplished....There is also a level of sophistication here with songs like I'm Not Lost Anymore and Undying Love that compare favourably to '70's California Fleetwood Mac. The girls play a mean fiddle (sorta Dexy's Midnight Runners moreso than country or Celtic) and this ought to be explored more as heard on my favourite tune Well Of Pain...Certainly a fine new talent to watch and I would expect to hear a lot more from this cast in the future. - Bruce Mitchell
