"StepKid"

“Make no mistake though, the music of “Them Howling Bones” is badass. Incredibly, they weren’t bluffing. They really do capture the mid to late 70′s classic rock sound. One of their best songs, “Luci,” would not have seemed out of place on the “Dazed and Confused” soundtrack.” - Brandon Adamson

"Berkeley Place"

“First of all: A+ on the band name, guys. Awesome. Second, good stuff. Bluesy rock and roll. Mighty fine.” - Berkeley Place

"LoveSound Magazine"

“If that title is not appealing to you, you’re wrong. Personally, I’ve never been a fan of ‘Blues Rock’ unless it’s in a live setting. This is the first blues rock album that I’ve enjoyed in the comfort of my own home and office.” - LoveSound Magazine

"A Little Bit of Sol"

“Them Howling Bones are a, LA based, blues/garage rock band. These guys really get down and dirty.” - A Little Bit of Sol

"NeuFutur Magazine"

“Let a Cold Man Die is the star of Them Howling Bones’ self-titled EP. There is an early twentieth century blues / call and response style that is updated for fans of current hard rock acts (Jet, Airbourne, Queens of the Stone Age). Great depth on the arrangements here makes this ready for rock rotation." - James McQuinston

"Rebel Noise"

“L.A.-based blues-rock band Them Howling Bones sticks to its rock 'n' roll roots on new song/video "Luci".” - Jen Dan

"The Equal Ground"

“The first thing I noticed upon my first listen to Them Howling Bones’ new self-titled album Them Howling Bones, it was apparent to me, if only for how laid back the guitars sounded, and softer gruffness of the lead singers voice, that Them Howling Bones definitely had a southwestern sound firmly ground in southwestern roots. And I was right as the L.A. based band not only has California roots, but they also have that brash ‘70s desert sound that both the Doors and Deep Purple amongst others were so fond of imbibing in.” - Jamie Robash

"Janky Smooth"

“I’ve been listening to Them Howling Bones recently released EP religiously for the past month without the benefit of the live show litmus test. I always hold off on praising a new band too much until I’ve heard what they sound like live. I’ve had my ear ball on them to place them on our list of one of the top bands to look out for in 2015 but without the live show.” - Janky Smooth

"Janky Smooth"

“I’ve been following these guys since they started, original line up and all. Their sound, luckily, was on point thanks to the team they have working with them on this EP. They played all their great songs such as Luci, Howling Man, Left for Dead, and Follow You Home. The energy these guys put off is amazing.” - Taylor Wong

"Lo-Pie"

"Make no mistake, friends, this ain’t no 60s garage rock. “Left For Dead” is HARD ROCK of the high cheese variety; all parts locked down and working in perfect sync, this is a long mean growl of a song led by a scuzzy, bloody riff and punctuated by requisite guitar solo and heavy drums. Though they skirt the periphery of garage punk, the only garage that Them Howling Bones could feasibly fit into would be Little Steven’s, somewhere between Alice Cooper and “Cat Scratch Fever”." - Mariana Timothy

Bio

Them Howling Bones are born with real musical muscle, the kind that are in all too short supply in today’s music scene. They were so destined to find each other and play together, that when they played their first gig, they didn’t even realize it was their first gig -- it was that spontaneous.

They hopped on stage at a Los Angeles location that remains undisclosed to this day, to those outside the band’s inner circle -- rock & roll traditionalists that they are, the band insists you had to be there. They dove headfirst into a rendition of the Doors’ “Roadhouse Blues” in a completely impromptu jam session. According to bassist Armando, they “just kept on the blues feel the whole night.”And though the gig is over, the blues feel certainly is not. Guitarist Mitch cites bluesmen of days gone by -- Albert King, Freddie King, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Paul Butterfield, Duane Allman -- as major influences in his (and the band’s) sound.

Mitch has traveled all the way to LA from Green Bay, Wisconsin -- where he claims “there isn’t much going on” -- in search of a more active scene and like-minded band mates who share his goals for “us to move people, write great songs, make the audience dance and go crazy, and know our lyrics and songs.”

Vocalist Pedro is certainly on the same page: “Every night is the best rock & roll night. Broke, finding ways to get by. Being in the streets, meeting people, drinking, playing, getting into trouble and learning to get away with it! Every day just drenched in a little whiskey!”

Mark Fallavollita grew up in the North Shore of Massachusetts, and has been playing music nearly all of his life. After moving to LA in 2010, he met members of Them Howling Bones as a spectator at their live shows, seeing them perform several times between 2013-2015. In August 2015 he was asked to fill in on drums for the end of summer gigs and the band’s first US National tour, and has been involved in the project since. Mark brings a strong energy, vibe and style to his drumming and to Them Howling Bones.

Armando is a little more thoughtful about the prospect of the band’s bright future: “To be able to connect with a total stranger with music as a universal language is honestly beautiful. The energy of these ever-building crowds would inspire anyone with a working ticker.” For Armando, answering which rock & roll night is the best ever is “not even fair. This train is moving fast and to remember every landmark would be blurry.”

The current EPK release shows the fast musical talent for songwriting and talent.
