The LockWest

Undeniably one of hip hop’s the most prolific, futuristic talents, Tec the LockWest Monster aka “LockWest” definitely has his sights high as he sets out to create a space for himself atop raps totem pole. The Cali native hails from a small yet influential city in the greater Los Angeles area…LYNWOOOOOOD as he so often lets us know. After his self-titled debut album “The LockWest Monster” he has returned with “Hip Hop’s Arc Angel” one of the most eminent new projects to hit the streets in 2010. Having admired, made friends with and worked along side some of hip hop’s dopest west coast artists like the Game, Crooked i, X.O., Ecay Uno and many others, LockWest has definitely answered the bell of high expectation for a sophomore album. From lyricism to production the conceptual album shows the dual threat of LockWest’s versatile yet superior style and flow. For the 2010-2011 year, things are certainly looking the way he wants them to. The expectations from others no where near supersedes the expectations he has for himself. His journey to the top is soon to be one of the most compelling to watch.
