Bio
Formed in Adelaide around 2004 The Levitators started as an instrumental jam style act playing 20 minute breakbeat rock and roll epics!
Sam Morrison joined the band later to add a vocal element and the sound of the band started to refine. Australian national radio station Triple J liked their track 'Aqualung' from their self titled EP, and "Unearthed" the band, giving them a spot at Parklife Festival in Adelaide in 2007.
Festival spots ensued including Big Day Out, Peats Ridge, Groove is in the Park and the highlight of The Adelaide Fringe, where the band opened the festival in fornt on 10,000 punters!
The Levitators have shared the stage with Sneaky Sound System, True Live, Shapeshifter, Midnight Juggernauts, The Bird plus stacks more and countless DJs.
Releasing their first full length album in 2008, the band recieved rotation nationally on Triple J, as well as rotation on Nova and community staions for the track 'Dinner at Panchos'.
The band has toured many times, made a couple of filmclips, had their music appear on TV commercials, in surfing, skating and mountain bike films and are currently recording a new album.
