The Knots are an Orlando-based duo whose original songs meld the retro stylings of 1950s croon-tunes with gut-bucket blues and tasty jazz; pretty cool for two guys who look like they wouldn't speak to each other, let alone play together. - Katie Ball- prx

Bio
With a voice reminiscent of Roy Orbison, Indie Rocker Rudy Stockhausen sets himself apart from the rest. Hailing from a small town in southern Florida, Rudy grew up listening to an eclectic variety of music thanks to his parents record collection. In 2002 while still in high school, Rudy picked up his first guitar, and influenced by the records he grew up listening to, began writing songs reminiscent of 60s' and 70s' rock. In 2004, this time while in college, his passion for music led him to form what would become an energetic indie rock band known as The Knots. With a myriad of songs and countless performances under his belt, Rudy and The Knots moved to Orlando in 2009. Almost instantly they took the music scene by storm by performing at some of the city's most reputable music venues, such as The Social, The Plaza Theater, Back Booth, Will's Pub, and The Haven. The band's growing fan base and regional recognition has propelled them to the forefront of the Central Florida music scene where they continue to capture the hearts and minds of fans and industry personnel alike.
