"Infatuating vocals, crashing drums, guitar riffs that are both ridiculously catchy & furious combined with climaxes of elation make this single soar; there’s a nervous agitation that combined with pulsating choruses makes you sit on edge with sheer glee till then end of this sonic party." - Glasgow PodcART - Halina Rifai
We recommend you let these guys take you on a musical journey soon, and not just for their magnificent banter. - Glasgow PodcArt - Kirstin Lynn
As debuts go, it's difficult to fault. - Kowalskiy
Heavy, melodic and lo-fi – it’s not easy to pull off, but The King Hats have. - Favouriteson - Jamie Orr
Their efforts remind me very much of Hope Is Important era Idlewild. Stunning - Clean Slate Music
"The King Hats let rip with a set so fast paced and riddled with energy, it's almost impossible to take your eyes off them. This is exciting to watch and surprisingly fun to listen to. 4 out of 5 Stars." - Ryan Drever - The Skinny
"[The] King Hats turn out to be a very interesting prospect, their high-voltage jerky indie-pop mingling with raw Reuben-esque rock, and worth the entry price alone for the line “I was a riot, I was Dumyat"" - Heather Crumley - The Skinny
"spikey guitar hooks punctuated by powerful drumming...a tight and frantic set, the highlight of which is She’s So Dead Now." - Martin Campbell - T Break Website
"A confident entrance by The King Hats shifts the standard of T Break up another gear." - Lesley-Anne Brown, Sunday Herald Magazine
"Tight guitar riffs, heavier than thou drums & high-octane vocals defy current indie sensibilities. With an onstage presence Jagger would be proud of, the King Hats confidence & striking ability to capture the crowd's attention proves these lads are certainly ones to look out for in coming months." - Ruairidh Pritchard - Re:Union
"A uniquely riotous frenzy of jagged guitars and screeching megaphone." - Ryan Drever - List.co.uk
"testosterone fuelled post punk mash-up... a rock n roll riot created with a lot of imagination and performed like a kick in the balls." - Heather Minto - NoiseMakesEnemies
"The most explosive and energetic shows on the live circuit." - Tim Barr - A-Listed - The News of The World

Bio
Since forming in late 2007 we have since supported And So I Watch You From Afar, Jamie T, Ida Maria, Sound of Guns, and The Rascals to name a few.
We have played the T Break Stage at T in the Park, goNorth Festival, The NME Award Show Tour, King Tut's Summer Nights and King Tut's New Year Revolution.
We released our debut single "I Was The Riot at The Art School Last Night" on King Tuts Recordings.
We have just released our debut EP "First Light". You can have a listen to the first 5 tracks in the audio section of this EPK.
The advice for this section is to list our influences. I think that would turn in to a novel. We're influenced by just about everything. We love the sounds and epicness of post rock and soundscape. We love the raw, visceral energy of punk. We love the humble and intimate lyrics of folk music. We love to dance and party to anything with a good beat; be it Pop, Hip-hop, or big beat electro music. We love the dirtiness of dubstep. We love metal, classical, jazz, math rock, the list could go on and on. In short we love music; especially when it's good. That's why we love creating it, and playing it; and why it's so touching when someone listens to your music and loves it too.
