Surely one of the most promising young bands in Dublin at the moment, fresh-faced four piece The Kinetiks bring a heady amalgam of barbed indiepop and new wave that evokes echoes of The Strokes and The Beatles at their most frayed. Combining well-paced melodies with surf-rock and viscerally burnished riffs, the quartet’s live reputation for enthusing even the most comatose of crowds has seen them booked by promoters all over the city, including eminent support slots with the likes of the UK’s Young Knives and Black Wire. Charismatic frontman Gaz Harding’s insolent vocals tread recklessly over beefy putdown ‘A Smile’d Crack Your Face’ and sigh wistfully over bass-centric pop ditty ‘The Bop Bop Song’; while the skewed Vines-lite zig-zag of ‘Nightstrollin’’ provides an edgier inclination to their canon. If nothing else, this boy is destined for stardom; he’ll have a fair run at it with The Kinetiks. - Lauren Murphy, entertainment.ie
-"Poster Children for the welcomed buzz that Garageland brings to an act The Kinetiks headline the Village on Friday.
-"Already forming a tight following as a direct result of their stellar performances (that includes more than their mums and girlfriends), it's hard to believe that The Kinetiks Garageland debut was little more than a month ago."
- Hot Press
"I honestly was not prepared for such a performance. As soon as Jemson Green left the stage, Eamon Dorans became reminiscent of The Beatles at Shea stadium. Screaming girls, as well as the odd guy, filled the front of the stage to welcome on one of Ireland's hottest new talents. These guys have it all. Rocking tunes, with punching vocal lines and tons of hooks to catch the already biting audience. I just hope these guys get to go the whole way. Check out their song 'A Smile'd Crack Your Face '. " - Glenn Mahony
The Kinetiks are aptly named; the tracks on their new EP are a bundle of raw energy. The EP's first track, A Smile'd Crack Your Face, sets a rapid pace but the band are able to maintain it until the end. The Dublin band cultivate a sound reminiscent of The Strokes circa Is This It?. If their live shows are anything like their recorded tracks, audiences will not be disappointed. - Hot Press Magazine
Charming guitar pop reigns on this debut EP from a Dublin four-piece who have built up a solid live reputation in the last year. This four-tracker revolves around blistering Strokes-esque riffs and catchy vocals and hooks. The standout cuts are Run Run Run and A Smile'd Crack Your Face. You'd be well advised to check them out on their upcoming tour. - The Star
"Self-described as "simple, catchy and charming naivety", The Kinetiks are a Dublin 4-piece full of spark and energy, dabbling in reflective indie pop. Along with the above proclamation, there is also a welcome sincerity to the track, the singer giving his all through an impressive vocal range, and aching whoas and aaahs."

"Shuffle Your Feet, the debut single from the city's new rock product The Kinetiks,
is a work of effortless professional charm and streetwise pep the likes of which we haven't heard in some time.
If you can judge a band on the strength of one track, it's easy to declare The Kinetiks a knock-out act;
a poppy indie barnstormer, it explodes with nifty riffs that remind of The Undertones as much as they do The Strokes,
and is sure to win over every exhausted music hack ans scenester in our fair city.
It's a real play-on-repeat charmer that goes hand-in-hand with the North Dublin foursome's rep as a giddy,
energetic live band that makes us feel young and trendy enough to bop along with every bar sans irony.
They paid their mandatory dues on the smaller festivals of the summer,
turning out frown-inverting sets at Cois Fharraige and castlepalooza before retiring to Grouse Lodge
to turn out this little gem. We don't predict a riot, but more of a slow-burning feeding frenzy surrounding
The Kinetiks as they strut into 2008, and we'd like to boast that we were there first. Complete slags, aren't we?" - InDublin Magazine, Philip Byrne

Bio
The Kinetiks kick off 2009 with the release of their "Aye Aye Aye Aye
- EP" on March 6th. Lead track "Lightbulb" is already a fan favourite
having been showcased at the band's appearances at Oxegen,
Indie-Pendence and Le Cheile festivals in 2008. Last year brought
about a Meteor Music Award nomination plus support slots with Scouting For Girls, The Enemy, Delorentos and The Flaws
among others. Described as "...'kin Brilliant!" by the Irish Times,
The Kinetiks also managed to squeeze in appearances at The Trinity
Ball and UCD Ball as well as media launches for Jameson, Becks, Red
Bull and Duracell.
The boys were back in Grouse Lodge, Suite and Sun Studios in late 2008
with Gareth Mannix (Republic Of Loose/Delorentos) and Marc Carolan
(Muse/The Thrills) to record their latest six-track release which
includes previous singles Bite The Bullet and Shuffle Your Feet as
bonus tracks.
Thanks to regular airplay on Today FM (Ray Foley), 2FM (Dan Hegarty),
BBC Radio Ulster, Phantom FM and other regional stations the band's
rep as ones to watch in '09 has been confirmed. The band managed to
place a track on MTV U.S show The Real World this past October. They
are due to release their new EP in the U.S early in 2009 due to
interest from Boston based publicists, Planetary Group, who have
helped to break artists such as Kings Of Leon, Interpol, Katy Perry,
Bloc Party, Ash and Oppenheimer among others.
Confident, charming, giddy and energetic have been used to describe
the group's impressive live performances. Lead singer Gaz Harding has
been plugged as "amiable and watchable as a frontman can get". The
Kinetiks have been described as "the best indie band around right now"
and as "having REAL breakthrough potential" by leading Irish music
industry executives.
