Bio
Influenced by the music of B.B.King, Chuck Berry, Gary Moore, Led Zeppelin and many more blues and rock 'n' roll greats. theKAB formed in 2004 when Kev and Pete got back together, the last time was when they played in 70's rock band,'Millstone Grit'. They had both played in other bands from the split of 'Millstone Grit in 1979, but a chance meeting in 2004 got them talking about going in the studio for a day to see what happened. Once in the studio they realised what they had been missing and decided to start gigging again.
Both loving the blues they decided to record an album of self penned songs and got to work straight away. They recruited Pat on the drums and have been doing local gigs and some in Germany, with also a couple of BBC contracts, (being filmed playing live and on local radio), they are now on the BBC list to do other work for them. The album they are working on should be released in 2008 on their own label, 'Defamation', and is called, 'You gave me the blues'.
The band are hardworking, sometimes putting in 2 or 3 days of rehearsals for 3 hrs each time, so they have enough songs not to have the same set twice.
They have also been working hard on getting enough songs together for their second album, I don't think there's enough hours in the day. The band enjoy the music and what they do and are very dedicated to it.
theKAB play either acoustic or electric sets, according to the venue or setup.
Within the media section are samples of 8 songs from their 11 track album.
