"These men equaled Musical Brilliance. JB played a vintage Fender Rhodes, with a quick vocal draw...periods of instrumentation followed by tight taut tenor vocals, gave them a sound simalr to Jamiroquai."

CD REVIEW-Soulwagon "From the beginning of the CD, the Jb Quartet prove themselves to have mastered the lost art of the classic one/two punch"... "makes you feel like a CHiPs episode is on in the other room."... "libidinous rhythms and Rhodes keyboard-driven melodies" "

We are Original-Soul specialists, come together in a most perfect union to get your skids all shaken up. Bring us you poor, your tired, your huddeled asses yearning to be free, and we’re gonna do what we can to get you movin. . We are like a streamroller of freestyle, street-smiling soul, a sexy sexy zamboni of swell grooves. . With pockets full of lyrics and a penchant for destruction, it’ll be funk missives and sweet miasma on through the night. Dig? The JBQ returns like the sun rising. A herald of the heat, and a bell tolling for the bright summer days. A champagne bottle breaking on the bow of a little ship we like to the SoulWagon..boat..thing
Whats real? The JB Quartet is JB on vintage 70's keys, mixing freestyle and spectacular hooks, to craft songs you can't stop humming. Dave Payne, (bass) and Kevin Chryst (drums) are rhythm section all stars, that will bring any house down. Finally Jeremy Elliot (guitar) and occasionally Lonnie Knectal (sax, EWI) are stellar independent solo voices, playing ferocious rips that will leave jaws droped.
.
Bottom line we've put together something beautiful and unique. An original voice in a crowded musical world, supported by musicians who leave everything we have up there. Give a listen, see the show, It's what we love.
