The Hollerin have a blues-rock sound that emphasizes slick guitars and hard-hitting drums. Singer Christian Taylor has an appropriately gruff voice that feels invitingly familiar but is also unique enough to hold your attention. - NBC San Diego

While a lot of different musical bases were covered throughout the night, it centered mainly around rock and roll. The best representation of that came early in the night when the four piece The Hollerin delivered a fiery set of blues rock. Lead singer Christian Taylor lead The Hollerin’s charge with a thick blues growl. Partnered with Leonardo Moura’s well placed meaty guitar licks, the band created the night’s most engaging set. The Hollerin played and acted like a headliner, owning the main stage and turning out a blistering 20 minute set. - SD Rock N' Roll

Bio
What originated as a singer/songwriter collaboration, quickly escalated into rock and roll, drenched in blues, soul and americana. The Hollerin was built around singer Christian Taylor's songwriting, love for the blues and soulful vocals. But the thick of it comes in the form of Jacob's groovin' bass riffs, Leo's catchy rock guitar licks. and drummer Jason's hard hitting, swing beats.
The 4 piece from San Diego play what they feel, and feel what they play. With influences ranging from Led Zepplin, Radiohead, Thrice, Howlin Wolf, Ray LaMontagne, Johnny Cash, Pink Floyd, SRV, and Hendrix, Its no wonder their sound is familiar yet new. The vocals pull you in with a soothing, growl and powerful presence, belted out in every line with passion and heart. Their music speaks for itself, never really staying in one genre or another, but underlined in thick blues tone. They're a guaranteed good time with live performances that never fall short. You'll find yourself on the floor dancing with the crowd before you even realize it.
