If there were landfill space left in the United States, one could dump several truckloads of the crap being sold to the us today as "country music". So a few of the faithful got together in a woodworking shop in DC, started writing and playing original music and gave birth to the Highballers. There was no need to reinvent anything when making their brand of country, all they needed was a ton of beer, bitter memories and some dirty ass electric guitar. They combine the crucial elements of country music: drinkin' cheatin' and killin', and write songs with a catchy hook that will either just make you tap your foot or down right shake the walls. When you see them live, all gussied up, you will understand why the Highballers consider themselves players of "dirty country music". Kimberly's lovely voice and Kendall's ragged crooning will at times remind you of Emmylou and Graham, while Josh’s laser guided bad ass guitar reminds you that they'll never stray too far from the New York Dolls no matter how "country" they try to get.
