The Heartshakes is a pop rock unit formed by Emi, a vocalist and lyricist, and Taichi, a guitarist and composer, from San Diego in spring 2009. They are originally from Japan and came to the United States from the different parts of Japan to learn music and English in College.
They recorded the first single “Infatuation” with a producer Masaki Murashita, a vocalist and guitarist of Hemoptysis, in Tempe, Arizona in January 2010.
And they recorded four more songs for their debut EP with Masaki in summer 2010.
Their first single “Infatuation” has played on the airplay in more than 10 different states of college radio stations and Hyogo, Japan.
Their debut EP is released in March 15th, 2011.
