Bio
When four classically trained musicians disillusioned with the music industry and popular music of the world come together, something spectacular happens. Technical skill and an extensive knowledge of pop-music song structure gives the group the drive to make a lasting imprint on the constantly changing world of music.
The Forest Fire is a progressive and eclectic collection of ideas both visually stimulating, and pleasing to the ear. With intricate harmonies, pumping beats, and classic guitar solos, this quartet will draw you in first listen. The band could be considered indie-alternative rock, but due to their utilization of so many different styles, the band’s genre is subject to the opinion of the listener. They’ve been labeled “Post-grunge Pre Jazz” because of the apparent use of rock elements along with jazz voicing and hints of blues playing.
Landing on the music scene in 2007, The Forest Fire has played venues in and out of Dallas to a growing fan base. The band has just completed recording their EP “Wait, what?” at Indian Trail Recording Studios with top recording engineer, Alex Gerst. “Wait, what?“ is currently available on bandcamp.com and in iTunes stores around the world. The Forest Fire has much more material that is ready to be recorded and they are hoping to tour in the future. Band members Danielle Grubb, Ben Beck, Chris McGee, and Davis Williams have a passion for music that is rarely found in bands of their age.
