Bio
In October of 2010, Jesse and Jeremy were sitting in their garage putting the finishing touches on some new songs. Everything was coming together nicely, but it was clear that they needed to begin the search for a rhythm section to make the band complete. Once the talks turned into plans, they both set out to find the best bandmates they could. Through an act of apparent divine intervention, Jeremy met Tim and Cesar while playing at a Sunday morning church service in Escondido, CA. Blown away by their respective musical abilities, he asked them if they would be interested in forming a band. After just a few garage sessions, it was clear that the search was complete.
Following the release of his solo album, “Letting it out… From the Curb”, Jesse wasted no time getting back to the drawing board to pump out some fresh songs. But this time, he wanted to leave some extra room for interpretation as the band worked through the tunes together. Jeremy’s leads screamed from the depths of hell to the heights of heaven, Cesar slapped the bass with power and finesse, and Tim laid down the funk from his throne of glory, while Jesse belted out melodies that will burn a hole in your soul.
They wholeheartedly agreed on a name, The Filthy Violets, and the next logical step was to get into the studio and cut their first record. TFV wanted to make a big splash with their first record, so they had no intentions of settling on an average producer/engineer to tackle their first project. After discussing several options, they agreed that Jeff McCullough of Tree Hill Media (www.musicproducer4hire.com) was the best choice. Jeff’s highly-trained ear and natural knack for well thought out arrangements played an important role throughout the recording process. He understood and embraced the band’s vision for the album, and helped The Filthy Violets capture the raw, soulful sound of their debut album, “Lackluster Blvd.”
When they finished tracking the album, TFV was anxious to get out and share their songs with the world. The band hit the local San Diego scene and quickly established a strong presence in the Southern California music scene, bringing their music to the LA scene. There’s a hot buzz surrounding the band and “The Filth” is spreading like an epidemic.
The Filthy Violets’ goal is to create a sound that brings about a sense of true camaraderie. They believe in the power of music, and that’s what motivates them every time they step on stage.
