The Famous Mandrell Brothers are an all-original Chicago-based soul and pop funk quartet with over 6 decades of combined live and studio experience. Their sound has been compared to Jamiroquai, Maroon 5, Gavin DeGraw, Donny Hathaway, and Stevie Wonder (Superstition, not Ebony and Ivory). Toss in a few tasteful and to-the-point guitar and Hammond organ solos over deep grooves and smooth vocals, and you’ll have the idea.
The group is composed of singer/songwriter/keyboardist Travis Mandrell, drummer Bryan Resendiz, bassist Gordon Patriarca, and guitarist Zoey Witz. Over their careers they have performed with or shared stages with a who’s who of national and local acts including The Neville Brothers, Tab Benoit, Little Feat, The Radiators, Karl Denson, Galactic, Survivor, Spirit, The Coasters, The Shangri-Las, Sam Moore, The Remainders, Matt “Guitar” Murphy, and Hello Dave.
Thousands of hours of road and studio experience applied to Mandrell’s original material results in a unique and exciting, yet recognizable sound.
