Bio
One of the more intriguing retro-rock acts out there is a band called The Duke from a small westcoast town called Vaasa (nowadays the guys are located in Helsinki). With the influences covering the spectrum from 60s popballads to the rock megalomania of the modern age with a bites of the 70s classic rock, this band manages to offer fresh and original songwriting while honoring their roots.
The finnish four-piece was formed back in 2004 as the brainchild of Mikko Duke, the bands vocalist and guitarist, to do music. Since then the band has released a few EPs and cultivated quite the local following by touring all over their home country. The Dukes cinematic music has been compared to Queen, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd - the greatest rock bands of all time - that's not a coincidence! In their live appearences The Duke gets physically socialized with the audience. During the most craziest shows there are rumours going on that...
...well, you just have to feel it with your own eyes and ears.
