"The vocals were raw and punk, whilst the guitarists played very old school rock and roll type riffs. I can definitely say their performance got the then quiet and at ease crowd swaying and dancing towards the front of the stage, especially during their second swing dance song titled “Brothers in Arms”, which was followed by the “half cover”, as the lead singer put it, “Kill That DJ” which just so happens to be one of my personal favorites. Their overall performance was far from stiff, and left no room for awkward pauses. I had to actively stop myself from ditching my lap top and dancing, just throwing that out there!" - Weakend Warriors
"New Jersey is known for many things, but one of the most overlooked aspects is its uncanny ability of producing top-notch musical acts. From old school singers like Frank Sinatra and Whitney Houston to modern day rockers such as Senses Fail and My Chemical Romance, the Garden State has produced some of music's finest and most original recording artists. And with this great reputation presented, comes a band from the town of Garwood with an energetic sound and a style all their own."

Bio
Out of the shadow of the Union County courthouse comes the in-your-face punkabilly quartet, The Downrights. Formed in 2006 by award-winning guitarist Jared Paparozzi and acclaimed drummer Mike Dimaio, the group has seen its fair share of ups and downs as well as lineup changes. 2007 saw the addition of lead singer and bassist Kieran Tintle who added a dynamic vocal range as well as a newfound attitude to the band. After a year long hiatus, the band welcomed rhythm guitarist and vocalist Eric Drylewicz, and is currently back on the scene playing good old fashioned rock ‘n’ roll blended with a punk rock kick.
