The Captain Andrew Bootstring Band

The Captain Andrew Bootstring Band was formed in the closing days of the month of January, 2013. The concept was simple: start a band where-in the members could feel comfortable wearing vests. It goes without saying that the band pushed hard following that opening statement, and quickly evolved in to something with a little more depth than a fashion catalogue for well-to-do men.
Following their first show, they released a 4-song EP, Oars in the Water, that displays their large breadth of inspiration. From modern folk contemporaries, to 1980's UK punk, to recent pop hits, the band has learned how to entertain, and capture their rapidly growing fan base.
Known for their energetic stage show, infectious spirit, and foot stompin' tunes, the Bootstring Band has been playing consistent shows, and a few festivals, in the Toronto area.
