Bio
In 2007, founding member Stephen Scarrow recorded a solo EP of 5 songs of piano pop produced by Stephen Pitkin (Elliott Brood, Flashing Lights, Meligrove Band). To celebrate its release, a band was formed for a show at Toronto's legendary C'est What Tavern: Matt Davies on guitar (who played lead guitar on Scarrow's EP), Nolan Dubeau on drums (the greatest drummer to emerge from Penetanguishene, Ontario), Aron Harris on bass (who also plays with Scarrow in folk-popsters The Flints), and Katherine Scarrow (Scarrow's sister and lyricist) on supporting vocals and percussion.
Fast-forward to summer 2009, when the band, following a brief hiatus, decided to get back together. Now billed The Blind Sides, with virtuoso Evan Levy replacing Matt Davies on lead guitar and Jeremy Harris taking the reins on backing vocals and percussion.
Fans of all things 'Pop/Rock' will delight in The Blind Sides' melodies, from the atmospheric ('Hold On', 'Waiting for Tomorrow'), to garage rock inspired ('When I Look Back'), to textbook arena hooks ('Stuck in the Middle').
The band released their first EP, Circles in the summer of 2011 and has found a fair bit of interest amongst the power-pop/rock blogs.
