Bio
Beau Allen Walker
Beau Walker was born and grew up in Kingsville Texas the land of mesquite, cactus and the rich heritage of Tejano and Country. At an early age he was drawn musically and began his musical endeavors on the harmonica and piano. An Uncle recognized his untapped musical potential and taught him how to play the guitar, starting him on his musical journey. After graduating high school and completing trade school, he entered the workforce in Tyler Texas where he played with a local band providing lead vocals, playing guitar and writing his own songs. Beau returned home to South Texas, played with a number of bands and continued recording endeavors that he began in Tyler. He has opened for such notable musicians as Charlie Daniels, Billy Dean, Max Stalling, Reckless Kelly, Jason Boland, Cody Johnson, and others. Since the release of his first solo album "Solid Ground", in May of 2011, he was awarded by the CMA of Texas Hall of Fame as "Upcoming Artist 2012". Grateful to God, his family, and those who have supported him along the way, he continues to keep his music real and worthy of the fine people he is humbled to call fans. Collectively, Beau, Jason, Ariel and Armando have been playing the Texas music scene for many years, but as they say, all good things come to those who wait. The combination of the music influences on each of them as they grew up in the industry gives The Beau Walker Band a refreshing sound that brings back memories of your favorite music; from Rock, Texas Blues, Tejano, Conjunto, Southern Rock, and Country, brings back some influential artists to mind, including Stevie Ray Vaughan, Led Zeppelin, John Mayer and Lynyrd Skynyrd. The Beau Walker Band puts everything they have into their music and it shows. It's not about the venues, it's about giving the crowd what it wants, the music!
Ariel Hinojosa: Bass, Vocals,
“It’s hard not to make music your life, when you’re born into it”, it’s another thing Ariel Hinojosa takes on like it was a religion. With 25 plus years of musical experience, Ariel knew that becoming a musician was the only thing he ever wanted to do. He grew up always tagging along to his father’s gigs and always dreaming of someday being on that very same stage. At the age of 5, Ariel was already playing drums and showing a promising interest in the music. At the age of 10, Ariel taught himself to play the bass on the very same bass his father used back in the ‘60s. This seemed to be Ariel’s instrument of choice. He was afforded the chance to play and share the stage with some Big Time Tejano Legends such as Laura Canales and Carlos Guzman. He did several other projects and put music to the back burner to attend college. It wasn't until Ariel learned to play guitar and took up an interest in song-writing, that Ariel’s career has somewhat began. Playing guitar for Local talents like Justin Cole, J.R. Castillo and Unwound, and sitting in with several others. Ariel also has played harmonica with Southern Scarred. Through these experiences, Ariel has shared the stage and brushed shoulders with some of the best in the industry, Randy Rogers, Kevin Fowler, Cody Johnson, Jason Boland, Reckless Kelly, Bart Crow Band, Jon Wolfe, and many others. Now Ariel can be heard keeping a steady groove with The Beau Walker Band
Armando Hinojosa: Keyboards,
When it comes to music, no one knows it better than longtime veteran Armando Hinojosa. With more than 50 plus years in the music industry, Armando has been a staple in the Tejano music scene. Starting at the young age of 5 years old, Armando picked up his first instrument, the accordion. His father Armando Sr. organized a group called Los Alegres Del Valle. He played for several local bands in his native town of McAllen, Texas at this young age. He would later learn to play the drums and the bass guitar which he spent a lot of his musical career playing. It wasn't until Armando and his uncle, Juan Hinojosa, formed one of the most influential bands in the Tejano music industry, Los Fabulosos 4, where Armando learned to play keyboards. This is where Armando spent most of his career leaving behind a Legacy with The Fabulosos 4. Armando and Juan were inducted into the first class of The Tejano ROOTS Hall of Fame, in Alice, TX. Now you can hear his seasoned playing here with The Beau Walker Band.
