Elana J and The Grinders is a New York City based rock band composed of Elana J, Natalie Tenebaum, Leanne Bowes, and Andrew Harts. The band is quickly making a name for them- selves in the New York rock scene, playing venues such as The Bowery Electric, Highline Ballroom, and Webster Hall. Their sound is a mixture of bare bones rock and roll laden with soul and edge, think The Runaways meet Janis Joplin, with commanding bass, shredding guitar, and complex piano solos. Elana J lights up the stage with powerful lyrics and cross-genre vocal styling - she rocks with the best - but also knows when to bring it down, when to get personal, and how to do so while maintaining her finely honed edge and tenacious ferocity. A vocal powerhouse without a doubt.Grace is the band’s second EP, the first being Skin, released in late 2015 - you can find the music video for the title track of the first EP on Youtube, where it has been viewed over 800,000 times.Recently, in collaboration with SBE, The Redbury Hotel, and the legendary Matthew Rolston, the band released a new music video for their song "Animal."
