Bio
The alternative indie-pop band based in Toronto, ON. consists of members Nick Koitses (vocals/bass), Alex Nunes (guitar), Ben Badiuk (guitar), and Noah Parker (drums); all whom have enjoyed very different musical upbringings.
The band first assembled in 2015 while attending Ryerson University.Their first performance together at The Rivoli in Toronto saw the biggest turnout of all participating bands; an incredible milestone so early in their career. They followed up with the release of their debut original song, “Tell Me So.” Recorded at Candle Recording Studios (Tokyo Police Club, Maylee Todd, Austra) and written by the band, the song is an infectious love anthem that has generated quite a buzz online. They celebrated the release with an Indie 88.1 FM sponsored event at Horseshoe Tavern in October.
Aside from multiple performances scheduled for the coming months, the band is actively writing and recording original music that is reflective of the recent changes to their roster. They have grown to embody their own unique sound; derivative of a combination of different musical influences. They plan to debut such music as the year progresses. Needless to say, what began as a hobby has since taken on a life of its own. All we know for certain is that 2016 is shaping up to be an incredible year for The Cheap Flights.
