Turner says ideas often strike him anywhere, even behind the wheel, he explains: "One day I was just watching the windshield wipers going back and forth, and then I turned on the blinker. I took that idea and turned it into something."

Often compared with the diverse guitar stylings of Jimi Hendrix, Prince and Peter Frampton, Thaddeus Turner has gained a loyal national following. As lead guitarist for the Seattle heavy soul band Maktub, Turner has received glowing praise from Rolling Stone Magazine, NPR and the Seattle Times. Turner has toured with such notables as Cherrywine, Stone Gossard from Pearl Jam, Digable Planets, Dave Matthews and India.Arie. He’s backed by his band Jet City Soul which features the flying fingers of guitarist Kathy Moore (of Boxcar Rebellion) and Kenyan trumpet savant Owuor Arunga, as well as Bob LBD Lovelace, Chad Pavcovich, Cydney Johnson and Marcus Schimmelfennig .
