Throughout the video, Lyrical speaks on how SHE should, (and could) run for the president of the US. She takes time in her verses to speak up on the injustice Black Americans go through on a daily basis. How we as a people need to set a better example for our future generations. how we as a people have few role models in poor neighborhoods to uphold what black excellence truly is. She brings up how Black owned business and economic core values should be taught and instilled by Black communities all over America. She also takes it as far as to bring up how racial tension isn’t being put on the forefront by the politicians we elect. the problems that Black Americans face and what should be taken into account and worked on by the senate and states for obvious reasons. What is even better about her entire message is how she provides a heavy hitting trap beat with ridiculous flow. Her delivery and rhythm, Lyrical is, well, lyrical! Her talent and overall product is surprisingly high quality. she brings straight up real talk with motherly undertones on what the country should shape into as we progress. Her family oriented, super important message is something everybody can agree on. followed by her skill and banger beat to bop to is phenomenal. As an independent music artist and great role model not only to her kids, her community, and the people of Color community; Lyrical is definitely a artist and example more artists should strive to be like. as we conclude our review on Election, be sure to subscribe and thumbs up her video along with showing support by following her on her social media fan pages. - Bennie Castle
Born Ebony Vick in 1989, this attention grabbing Waco, Texas native adopted the nickname of “Goddaughter of Hip Hop” the moment she became interested in becoming a lyricist. Soon after realizing her gift as a lyrical being, she soon assumed the name of “Lyrical”. Her freestyling skills at the young age of 8 turned into a passion for words and by 14 years old she was a published poet. Featured on the Dallas Observer, Lyrical made the decision to partner with an independent label that believed in her talents and vision. While signing to Mr. Lawton Records, she has elevated her career and recorded hits with special guests features such as: Diamond (Crime Mobb), Hulk Tha Prodigy, and Kottonmouth.
Her performance history includes opening up for Too Short and FM 97.6 Break It, along with a host of events in and around the Houston/Dallas area. Being the First Female Hip Hop artist in Dallas to be placed on the national top 200 Airplay charts and national top 50 independent simultaneously with single “Clocked In” has created a local fan base that anticipate her first international release. Her immediate goals include empowering women to accept themselves as they were brought into this world with love songs, power songs, angry songs and anything else that comes to hard.
Her current single “Grinding” is now available on Itunes with her upcoming single “Asylum” to be released nationally with a major video release campaign.
As you see your self, who is LYRICAL “The Goddaughter of Hip Hop?
The God Daughter of Hip Hop is the torch bearer. Hip Hop is dying but it isn’t dead yet. I’m that last runner in the race you save for the end to catch the team up and cross the finish line. All those who started the race will now pass the torch to me. I’m the little girl who grew up a Jehovah’s Witness and completely sheltered from the real world and only connection to the outside world being my radio. I’m the little girl who met her dad once at 14 and then was told by authorities if i care to live never try to contact him again because he’s a crime boss with a lot of enemies. I’m the woman now who now has no fear and will bring my life into that pen until it run out of ink.

Asylum is the new single dropping 12/15/15. It has a lot of real emotion. It’s creative. My personality reflects that of Harley Quinn from Batman and Joker. I’m similar to her with that good girl gone mad shit. Basically, I’m dealing with a sorry boyfriend, a fucked up job, stressful life, and I snap and now trying to talk - Hype Magazine
At 14, Dallas rapper Lyrical had a poem published after winning a poetry contest, recorded hip-hop music for the first time and met her father for the first, and only, time. It was a year that made a profound and lasting impression on her. Lyrical is a hip-hop artist with a big voice and jaw-dropping freestyle skills. Now she's preparing for the release of her second album, a tour and some charity work.
She met her father by accident. Lyrical was visiting her uncle and brother in jail in Waco and found out that’s where he was too. Back then, everyone knew who her dad was; let’s call him a crime boss. When Lyrical was a baby, her dad was too dangerous to be around so her mom had to get her out of that situation. When she found him, Lyrical was excited to finally meet her father, but she wasn’t on his visiting list. “I was right there,” Lyrical says. “So close, but I couldn’t see him.” Lyrical cried so hard that an officer gave her 15 minutes with her dad anyway. She looked at the scars on his face and thought about all sorts of stories she had heard about him going to the hospital for many reasons, including getting shot in the head. She asked him if he had committed all these crimes she had heard about and he admitted that he had. He told her she had lots of brothers and sisters. And that was it.
But it wasn’t enough. She tried to call her dad, but by then he had been moved to a different jail. She started calling other jails until someone finally told her that it was a waste of time. The location of her father would not be given; it could put her in danger to know. Heartbroken, Lyrical gave up on the idea of ever seeing her father again or even knowing where he was.

What are some things artists need to be careful of?
Artists need to be careful about being ignorant of the business. Everybody knows the talent is outweighed by the business when it comes to success. I’m not saying do everything yourself, that’s impossible, but know what everyone else is doing so you know what to expect and never end up on the short end of the stick. Be involved in your brand and business, after all it is your career. - WWS Magazine
