born as Mario James
also known as Tex, a Hip Hop Artist/ Song Writer was Born in Dallas,
Texas but spent most of his life traveling between Texas and Southern
California, hence the name TEXACAL. With a full-fledge passion for writing
and the talent for conveying distinct raw
emotion, TEXACAL prides his self in giving the audience music in
which reveals who he is completely, clearing his closet of skeleton's sort
of speak. Once ask by an A&R "Are you a conscience rapper?"
regarding TEXACAL's song "Problems" which is featured on
the project entitled "The Collection". Tex's response to
the A&R was "No I am a human artist that at times raps about
conscience things; as well as gangsta
shit; as well as many other subject matters. No stranger to the streets of the
inner city, Tex's style is one some may consider aggressive most of the time,
but Tex stresses being (Anti-Labels).
Growing up heavily influenced by Tupac Tex's idea of creating music is sharing your thoughts in hopes of having listeners relate. Around 2008 TEXACAL had the pleasure of working with Printz Board (Black Eyed Peas) Producer/ Musical Director) from which they build a bond and a partnership which able Tex to work with artist as such as (Will-I-Am, Back Street Boys, Keke Palmer, Ryan Cabrera) just to name a few. In the meantime, Printz and Tex traveled the world and experienced different cultures as well as create music out of his domain. Printz suggested different genres to Tex by making him mix tapes with different types of music broadening Tex's ear and music knowledge. As a lyricist, that same core-driven individuality drips onto every page. It is this undeniable energy that he brings to the table and lets spill onto the floor. Since as early as he can remember Tex has been passionate about music as well as creative writings, which started with poems and short stories.
With his project set to release January 2017, TEXACAL plans to take the world by storm with his debut release entitled "eVOKING eMOTIONS". Described
as a melodic collection of his thoughts; his personalities; and
his emotions. TEXACAL didn't follow any blue print, any sound..he
just recorded what he felt but with a knack for writing good music his
project is filled with just that.
