TEN96

It’s hard not to feel a little crazy after the tumultuous ride the band TEN96 has endured. The Chicago-based musicians in TEN96, aptly named for the police radio code for a person displaying crazy or psychotic behavior, have been clipped at the knees each time success has come knocking. Yet they have continued to create music despite enduring everything from a manager falling down a flight of stairs becoming a cripple directly after a CD release (requiring 2 spinal surgeries and years to reclaim her limbs) to a publishing house releasing their music, stealing their royalty checks and ultimately the owners going to prison for embezzling all their artists’ money.

Regardless of the circumstances, the members of TEN96 have maintained a true hard rock mentality with a soft side for charity.

The members, Dennis Hirschauer(lead vocals); Anthony Frank (guitarist/backing vocals); Johnny Bling (bass/backing vocals); and Michael Ray (percussion), have been influenced by great musicians from every genre - rock, blues, jazz, metal, punk, country, easy listening, etc... The result of all these vastly diverse musical influences is that the music is for everyone that loves pure rock  - fans range in age and demographics.

In 2019, the band played at Rock the Badges for the Chicago police and Kids Like AJ an event at the McHenry County Fairgrounds to raise awareness of child abuse after the toddler was murdered by his parents. In 2012 TEN96 took a last-minute fill-in position to help raise money for the Odd Fellow Charities during their 14th Annual Poker Run. These are just a few examples of how TEN96 has been helping others for over a decade.

From club stages to festivals; radio to television; TEN96’s solid rock tunes and power ballads have offered airplay and commercial opportunities to many different markets.
