"My goal was to do a buzz-worthy project, and I didn’t want the buzz to drop off after one week. Usually you listen to a CD for a week and then you’re good. I also wanted to write songs for people who don’t like hip-hop for real. I tried to merge all my influences with hip-hop." - STLtoday.com
“True to my city, I neva ran from it” (Tef Poe Get Get Money). Words spoken from an authentic representation of the hip hop movement in the STL. - Global Grind
"wow seeing this on this site makes me feel really good...thank God
much appreciated..thank you!!" - ThisIs50.com
"single version of Tef Poe’s current radio/club song Showstealers." - IRepSTL
I started yelling all kinds of stuff. It was mostly funny to me that these guys are dedicating their lives to come out and do this. It's idiotic but noble at same time. I don't agree with views at all but I respect their dedication. - RiverFrontTimes.com
Tef Poe is a little schizophrenic on his new record. That's a good thing.
Among his multiple personalities (self-diagnosed in metaphors and similies) are "the backpacker version of Yo Gotti," Michael Jordan with a Scottie Pippen trigger finger, and "the rap version of Richard Pryor." The latter, of course, is because he's on fire. - RiverFrontTimes.com
She was like, “You don’t seem too anxious to be in a relationship anytime soon,” and I was like, “I’m not.” I believe that the only true love that I have, honestly, is music. And I explained that to her by saying, you know, when she downloaded Money Never $leeps, a couple other women downloaded Money Never $leeps. They put it in their iPod and go to sleep with it at night. They could be going to sleep with me every night, whether I know it or not! So, that’s all the love I need. - IRepSTL.com
The Force continues to fight the stifling St. Louis summer by creating their own heat. Batter up this time is Tef Poe, stepping into to the spotlight with the video for “Show Stealers.” - The Smoking Section
Didn't I tell you my city (St.Louis) had a gang of MC's ready to blast off? One of em' goes by the name of Tef Poe. If you don't know much about this cat then this video will sum it up for you - Tef's a Show Stealer. If the marching band energy and beat in this video doesn't give you the push to get out your seat and bounce, then somethin' must be wrong. This song has more quotable's than I'm willing to list, plus its just as enjoyable and energetic to watch as it is to rewind and listen to again. This is Tef Poe's debute music video for his single Show Stealers off the Money Never Sleeps album (Download Here). Enjoy. - www.ArizeMag.com

Through his uncompromising poetic rhymes and lyrical delivery, emcee Tef Poe, is proving to the music industry that he is heir to the throne.
Tef harbors the quintessence of a natural artist and entertainer. He proposed his growth garnering a reputation for being one of St. Louis' elite battle rappers affording him numerous hip hop awards such as Lyricist of the Year from the Evening Whirl.
Solo mixtape projects as "Glory 2 God", "The Redeemer", & newest release “Money Never Sleeps” have been viewed by hip hop critics tagging him with warning labels as a force to reckon. The Freshman proved himself not so precocious when he rocked a crowd of 30,000 people opening for Chicago's own Lupe Fiasco as well as featuring in the Smoking Section Showcase at the SXSW Music Festival. His latest hit “Show Stealers” has been in full rotation on STL's 104.1. These decrees have moved his music awakening new listeners. The dedicated Tef Poe continues to follow his own lead working with other St. Louis artists as well as traveling throughout the country performing. By no means does Tef Poe have any intentions of divorcing his first lady, Hip Hop. His commitment and music acumen makes him the only contender.
