Tarana

Ann Lindquist’s repertoire spans many genres of music, including Jazz, Classical, Folk, Latin and Middle-Eastern styles. She performs with many different types of flutes, including the Concert, Alto, Bass and Contrabass flutes in addition to Native American and bamboo flutes. She has performed at a multitude of festivals, including the Oregon Country Fair; Bumbershoot and Folk Life in Seattle; performances at the Washington State Governor's Mansion and Capital Building in Olympia; to venues in Alaska, Oregon, Hawaii and beyond. Ann has recorded with artists Linda Khandro, Susan Osborn and Scott Cossu, and groups Sphyrix and ShAnLi'.

Kenyon Curtiss has been studying the classical guitar for 40 years. His musical interests include a variety of styles, from Classical, Jazz and World music. Ken has been performing Playback Theatre for the past sixteen years in the Seattle area with Threshold Ensemble. He performs with local Jazz and World music groups including Ancient Sounds, and Latin jazz trio Todo Es.

Anil Prasad began playing percussion at the age of seven, and accompanied his mother, Prabha Devi, a famous Indian vocalist and sitar player. He was recruited to the Husky Drumline out of high school and became the Husky Drumline section leader for two consecutive years. Anil is a student of tabla masters, Tor Dietrichson, Ustad Akram Khan, and Ustad Zakir Hussain and records and performs with many western, world music, and Indian groups in Seattle and beyond.

Jason Everett is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger and back-up vocalist who plays various stringed and percussive instruments including his seven-string fretted and fretless bass guitars and an electric sitar of his own design. He recently released a solo album of Indian influenced world music under the name Tal Maya and in addition to his solo work and Tarana, Jason is performing with Andre Feriante and The Bohemian Entourage, Shorouk (Traditional Arabic Music), Deseo Carmin (Flamenco Funk), and Gina Sala' (Kirtan).
