Bio
Tara Cuccagna is a singer-songwriter from New Jersey. Her music is a blend of folk, rock, and pop. Tara has been singing and writing songs since the age of nine. She started playing guitar at the age of seventeen and started writing songs on the guitar shortly thereafter. She has been influenced by many female singer-songwriters, including Melissa Etheridge, Ani DiFranco, Alanis Morissette, and Jewel. Her greatest musical influence is the late Jeff Buckley. Tara wrote the song "Mississippi" about his tragic passing and had the opportunity to perform the song for Jeff's mother back in 1999. Tara writes from the heart and many of her songs reflect her state of mind at the time. Common themes involve love, heartache, and soul-searching.
