Bio
Rising out of the seemingly cliche local hardcore scene, Symphony of Sound established themselves as a band that broke the mold. Taking influences from bands such as Lovedrug, Paper Route, Switchfoot, and Manchester Orchestra, S.O.S. began to create a unique style that stressed originality in songwriting and relevant lyrics. The band, which was initially started for a local talent show, has gone on to display promise as an up-and-coming artist, sharing the stage with acts such as Lovedrug, Deas Vail, and Hawthorne Heights. Although still relatively young, the band has a surprisingly mature, experimental sound that also makes an effort to put lyrical meaning into the music. Symphony of Sound is currently working on their first eight song EP with producer Nathan Horst (Benjamin Dunn, Oceans in Love) and anticipates releasing the album in the early spring of 2011.
