Discography
They appeared on Shane Speal’s album, JUG FUSION, and their version of O Holy Night was included on Shane’s compilation CD, A Cigar Box Christmas 2010, with Matt playing his own Speal original CBG.
Supporting their first album, KISS GOODBYE, they performed acoustic versions of their original songs live on radio stations WZBT and WVYC. That album involved several musician friends, and it was one of the first known modern recordings of a cigar box guitar (by Shane Speal).
Their latest album, LOVE WEARS NO DISGUISE, features a more acoustic and organic “duo” sound. The songs focus on intimacy and equipping the listener to handle the ups and downs of marriage. Several songs receive airplay on WBZH and www.MyRuralRadio.com, and were featured weekly on www.WomenOfSubstance.com during the summer of 2012.

Bio
SweetLife pours a vocal blend of Karen Carpenter and Carol King into a hollow-body guitar overflowing with jazz, blues, and modern country rock. Fans love their vulnerable lyrics about real intimacy in marriage and the joys and terrors of truly knowing and being known by another.
"Our love started in music," Matt says, "Music brought us together initially, and we've played together as best friends since 1988 and as husband/wife since 1993. We went through some VERY hard years when it looked like we wouldn't make it, but we're both very stubborn -- and we decided we weren't quitting. As we revealed ourselves to God and each other, He healed us and brought us into the SweetLife; hence the name. The cool thing is that we're still best friends after 23 years. How romantic is THAT?"
Carol agrees, "Music's a huge part of our marriage, and that relationship is the foundation for our songs. Marriage is supposed to be -- was designed to be -- a safe place where you have a cheerleader when you're down and someone to hit you with the truth when you need it. That's what we're about, and Sweetlife is an extension of that."
Since 2011, SweetLife performed over 150 times at nightclubs & churches, concerts & festivals, vineyards & wineries, coffee houses & fundraisers - and wherever else people would let them. They were the featured performer at The Gathering, The Wagonshed, East Side Connection, and Farmers Hope Inn with Ric Emery; and they were one of 19 groups invited to perform at Fall Music Fest III, which featured both national and local acts and raised money for Childrens Miracle Network. They have opened for radio personality/comedian Earl David Reed, performed for NSRA’s Chapel Service (York, PA), and been featured in print (The York Daily Record, Lancaster County Woman magazine) and heard on radio (WBZH, MyRuralRadio.com, WomenOfSubstanceRadio.com).
