Bio

Dance the night away with this Blues/R&B staple! Stacie Eakes' Janis Joplin and Aretha Franklin styled vocals combined with her captivating stage presence rise up above a rock-solid band of West Coast all-stars including blues-guitar legend Jimmy Pailer, the ever-steady guitarist Bob Fogle, former-Beer Dawg bassist Joe Lev, and Leigh Lunetta on drums (life long student of his father "the percusionist" Stan Lunetta). Stacie Eakes and the Superfreakes took home the 2006 Sammies Award for best Blues/R&B band in Sacramento and they only seem to be just hitting their stride! Stacie Eakes born in Chicago began singing before the age of three. After moving to Florida she has since made her way to the west coast, singing her way across the country. Seeing her live performance is truly the tell-all to this dynamically talented girl. Her stage presence is beyond captivating, even more energetic and ultra entertaining, and oh, what an amazing voice! Stacie has been known to turn heads clear outside of the building. You might say she has the "it" factor, that god-given gift only few have. Stacie doesn't intend to waste it either as she holds nothing back for every performance. Stacie Eakes and the Superfreakes have supported many national acts, including Coco Montoya, Lydia Pense, and the legendary blues Diva, Bettye Lavette. Playing venues like the Arco Arena for the NBA Sac. Kings games, Golden One Stage at the Calif. State Fair and the world famous Torch Club Stacie and the Superfreakes create not only a buzz, but also a loyal fan base that can't wait to see their show again and again. They are also largely involved with the Blues for the Cure, and have been featured on all five volumes of the Blues for the Cure CD's.
