This song is currently stuck in my head – a great piece of guitar rock. Well produced, too. A bit of a Ted Leo vibe here. - Thought Catalog
Recent artist of the month nominees Some Gifts are a trio that writes open-hearted rock anthems bolstered with punchy riffs and subtle melodic awareness, laid bare with the passionate vocal delivery of singer Vic Lazar. The songs on their recently released EP "All These Ghosts" are small gifts that pack a walloping punch, ripping rallying cries that certainly bring back the fierce pop hooks of eighties college rock. They're currently working the local pub circuit promoting the EP, making their next stop an especially special one with a record release party at Old Towne Pub in Pasadena on Saturday, January 24. Those who like their energetic brand of charging, no-frills indie rock shouldn't miss this one. - The Deli

Bio
Three-piece Los Angeles band Some Gifts crafts a spirited, 1990s-tinged version of indie rock and alternative rock, with vibrant guitar hooks, catchy rhythms, and anthemic choruses.
The band formed in 2013 when singer/guitarist Vic Lazar (formerly of Buffalo, NY bands Patrons of Sweet and Knife Crazy) began jamming with drummer Steve Aguilera, who then recruited longtime friend and fellow musician Mike Jung for bass duty.
Some Gifts quickly began playing shows in Los Angeles and Orange County, and has since released two digital EPs: the debut All These Ghosts, featuring the song "Break the Cycle," and the followup System Failure EP.
The band has been featured on Thought Catalog as one of "6 Bands You Need to Know Now" and was an Artist of the Month nominee in The Deli music magazine.
Some Gifts is currently self-recording their first album, scheduled for release in October 2015, with an accompanying East Coast tour.
