Bio
Norman Lamberty Jr aka Solrey is a Puerto Rican singer/songwriter whose influences range from Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, and Bob Marley & The Wailers to Ms. Lauryn Hill, Calle 13, and Rubén Blades. Solrey’s unique sound is a combination of soulful vocals with thoughtful conversational lyrics (in English, Spanish, and Spanglish) over rhythms and harmony heavily informed by Hip-hop/Soul, R&B, Dancehall, Reggaetón, and Reggae.
Besides his most recent release Pistola and 2017’s Elevator Music you can hear Solrey’s voice as part of Jazz/Hip-hop band PockeTherapy a collaboration with his wife and frequent songwriting collaborator Leandra McNair and French/Danish producer Ken Linh Doky aka Bliss.
