Bio
Birdman and Insomniac met in 2002 and spent two years together in a punk band.
They haven't played together again until 2006, when both began composing and recording experimental soundtrack music for non-existent movies. Multi-instrumentalists, they played around with at least 10 various musical genres and recorded an album's worth of material.
In late 2009, They heard of the GBOB, a global battle of the bands competition and thought it'd be hilarious to play their first show at such an event. They took an 8-minute track from a new sound they've experimented with and the crowd's reaction was split in two: 1. terrified and appalled 2. instant loyal fans.
Since then they've written an album's worth of material.
Their first release is tagged "earworm", and was mixed by Matt Bayles. A video is available online on June 23
An EP will be released by the end of September.
They've received kind and excited feedback by musicians they respect:
Justin Pearson (The Locust, All Leather, Swing Kids, Holy Molar)
Marnie Stern
Justin Hill (Sikth)
Kathleen Hanna (Bikini Kill, Le Tigre)
Ben Verellen (Helms Alee)
They'll be touring Europe in October, booking dates throughout June-September
