If you asked him:
- to introduce himself, he would tell you that Saint Etienne isn’t the funniest of cities, but that’s why he’s having a lot of fun
- to talk about his songs, he would say that he follows his feelings, writes words, mumbles a few sentences, and collectively it’s magical !
- why he sings in English, that might be because he’s fond of cookies, crumbles and cupcakes, was born in pudding and…is a dreamer!
- his influences, he would tell you about Kate Nash, Santogold, Lily Allen, Chris Garneau, The Do, Vampire Weekend and many others...
- why Sliimy, he would tell you there is no need to think too much about it, and that the two i’s are just meant to make you smile.
And if you have other questions he would answer “I swear I don’t bite even if I look hungry!”
Sliimy, French and only 20, is a Myspace kid and managed to get an artist contract with Warner and an edition’s contract with Warner Chappell and pass his Bac (French A-levels) in only a few months! And for all of that you should be very proud of him! Open your eyes and ears widely, Sliimy will come tickle them soon!
