Bio
Slickwood came to light from the bluegrass blend of Brian Mills and the folk/jam of Randy Ryals. In Early 2012 the two St. Cloud, Florida musicians met and developed a music style of old school bluegrass and smooth jam/folk to create a Jamgrass roots sound. They have written many original tunes and a fan favorite in St. Cloud "Chicken Biscuit." By the Fall of 2012, Brian and Randy decided (after playing many nights and open mic shows around St. Cloud, including The Cobblestone Cafe and Crescents Coffee & Tea) to venture their music out for others to enjoy. They also added fiddle/mandolin player Taylor Raynor, who Brian and Randy met while playing a show at the University Of Central Florida. Taylor adds that mellow old country blend to Brian and Randy's music. Jamgrass Roots has become a popular phrase used by Slickwood fans to refer to the band's genre. This is most likely due to the mixture of Bluegrass, Jam and Folk in the band's music.
