"A cameo set in pearls of a dramatic symphonic landscape, the production also plays with Siv’s Scandinavian folk aesthetics of breadth, textures and light. Leading the listener to an epic close, Stay Away is the incredible climax of the work of art that she has inspired us be in." - Alliz Nicholas
"All together "For Those I Used To Know" sound can be described as a mix of Joni Mitchell and Ane Brun, however, the album has SIV's signature sound all over it. This is a very promising debut from an artist we most definitely will hear more from in the future." - Olav Øvre

Bio
Norwegian artist Siv's ethereal voice and haunting songwriting brings forth a delicate and modern take on Scandinavian Folk, comparable with other nordic artists such as Ane Brun and Susanne Sundfr. Her fearlessness in creating bold, honest songs about topics often avoided is rare, and has led her to win several songwriting awards. She is the recipient of the prestigious Norwegian Lyric Writers Grant from The Lyric Writers Fund ("Tekstforfatterfondet") in Norway for 2014, awarding her for her excellent musicianship and storytelling-abilities, and she is supported by Kulturrěą…det, the primary culture and art fund in Norway.
Siv's first record "For Those I Used To Know" was released in November 2013, a mere months after her graduation from the prestigious Berklee College of Music. She is currently splitting her time between New York City and Europe, touring extensively and preparing for the release of her sophomore record, set for release in early 2015.
