Philadelphia's Sisters 3, made up of (you guessed it) three sisters, will be releasing their debut album, Star Spangled, March 22 in Canada and this summer in the US. The band—featuring singer/songwriter AnnaChristie Sadler and her two sisters, Beatrice and Cassandra—enlisted in the help of famed producer Glen Marshall (Feist, Broken Social Scene, Kaki King) and his label Vibewrangler to showcase Sadler's latest project.
"Anna operates on a completely intuitive level as a creator and performer," says Marshall. "To be honest, the only other time I have experienced those kind of goosebumps was recording Feist." The first 1,000 vinyl copies of the album will be released on black vinyl, with different colors to follow.
Sisters 3, who originally went by the stage name the Sapphires, started performing for their family when they merely kids. Since then, AnnaChristie self-released Elixir For The Human Heart in 2005 and found a niche in the local Philadelphia scene. But playing with her sisters has been a "blessing" according to Sadler, who compares Star Spangled to a quilt, one that is "hand sewn, real strong, and a timeline."
"It's very intuitive and natural to be able to play music together with my sisters," she says. "Anyone will get to a certain point where you have to break away from your family and become you own, but its cool that this keeps us together."

Rising quickly on the Philadelphia music scene, these three quirky sisters have been singing, performing and playing music together since early childhood. Their unique style is rooted in their unconventional upbringing. An eccentric blend of beautiful melodies, mellow harmonies and playful lyrics separate them from the norm and will melt your heart right through your sweater. In 2005 the girls caught the attention of veteran Canadian producer Glen Marshall who has produced a cadre of successful break out groups including Broken Social Scene Alumni, Apostle of Hustle as well as fellow Canadian Feist In 2006 the girls began production for their long awaited debut album on Marshall's Indie label Vibewrangler Records. The album is scheduled to release in Canada in February 2008 and will make its national debut as a featured download on the acclaimed Pitchforkmedia.com in March 2008.

Bio
Whimsical, fantastical and full of imagination, and originality, sisters Cassandra, Anna Christie and Beatrice make up the quirky indie pop trio Sisters 3.
Their music represents a constant search of beauty. Wherever , however it shows itself. They find it, or create it, and share it with us in their songs.
With a childhood full of music, art, literature and theater, the 20-something home schooled sisters from Philadelphia were always encouraged to follow their artistic passions.
In 2005 at the Fringe festival in Scotland, the trio made their way to Historic Stirling Castle, situated atop a picturesque hilltop. Inside this ancient castle, the trio discovered a tiny room with great acoustics and began harmonizing to an old doo-wop tune "That's the way it goes" (1957 Harptones). There, with a small hand held tape recorder in tow, they recorded their "magical moment". It was then they decided to dedicate themselves singing as a trio.
Since then, in a very short time, they have covered some impressive ground. They have worked, and recorded with some great producers. Don Waas, Mark Howard, Glen Marshal. They were part of, and along with CBS Recording Artist Sharon Little at Madison Square Garden and the Mann Center, opening for Robert Plant/Alison Kraus . They've hit the stage at NxNE, CMJ and Philadelphia Folk Fest. They have appeared several times live on XPN radio, have been featured on the NBC's "Tens" twice and have been featured in the pages of SingerSongwriter Magazine, Relix and CMJ.
Members have also played stages at Bonaroo, ,Red rocks Col.,Mountain stage WV, Greek theatre LA, and more..
Sisters 3 are currently working on their 2nd full length, slated for an early 2011 release on Modern Vintage Recordings.
To date they have worked with some amazing producers..Don Waas, Glen Marshall, Mark Howard.
