Silent Skyline

Silent Skyline was formed in late February of 2011 by founding members Shannon Spears (Guitar) and Joe Anthony (Lead Vocals). While attending Winter Jam in Des Moines IA singer Joe and Shannon were inspired to start a band by the performing bands Kutless and NewsBoys. Soon after conceptualizing the idea Joe and Shannon introduced Kyle Taylor on Drums, Andrew Okones on Guitar and Jesse Price on Bass. The rest is history, and now a year later they are releasing their top three singles off their debut Album Silent Skyline.

-Kyle Taylor- Born October,13th,1993 Kyle has been a drummer for 7 years, and has played guitar for 3 years. Kyle is also involved with marching band, concert band, Jazz and Pep Band in High School. He has received the highest leadership award in marching band and has won every contest he has participated in, is a 2A, 4 time state champion drummer for marching band and has placed in the top ten for Jazz, receiving drum solo awards. It was in March of 2011 that Kyle met Shannon Spears and Joe Anthony, expressed to them his dreams to be a rock drummer and is now the backbone to Silent Skyline. Kyle's influences include Chris Frayer, Barry Kerch, Zac Brown Band and Shinedown..

-Jesse Price- Born October, 9th,1984 in Ottumwa, IA. Jesse has been a musician for over a decade now, playing drums, guitar, and is currently the bass player for Silent Skyline. Has been part of other bands throughout his music career including, The Dying Process, Black Summer, and Killgrid. Jesse's major influences include, Job for a Cowboy, Slayer, and Bullet for my Valentine.

-Andrew Okones- Born May 7th, 1989, in Cedar Rapids Iowa. Andrew has been playing the guitar since the age of 7, his father personally taught him this trade and he never put it down since. He is currently studying to be an EMT at Kirkwood Community College. Andrew was formerly in the rock band Nate AK. In April of 2011 he met up with Shannon Spears of Silent Skyline and his began. Andrew's influences include Van Halen, Journey, and Def Leppard.

-Shannon Spears- Born October 27th, 1975 in Oskaloosa Iowa.. Shannon started playing guitar at 8yrs of age. He took a real serious interest in it while serving in the US Army. Shortly after retiring from the Army, he joined his church worship team and performed on a weekly basis. The feeling of performing in front of crowds made the dream and desire stronger to want to be a professional performer. Months later he met Joe Anthony, and from there formed the band Silent Skyline. Shannon's major influences are Poison, Breaking Benjamin, Flaw, and Skillet

-Joe Anthony- Born February 10th, 1983, in Lubbock Texas. He spent 6yrs of his life in Lubbock and Killeen before moving to Eddyville Iowa. During high school his vocal teacher took a special interest in his talents and personally mentored him and honed his talents. Joe has participated in competitions including Iowa State Championship where he won the 2A and 3A championship. Joe also won many solo awards with State Swing Choir and received some of the highest ratings. He also participated in many athletics while doing these activities including: wrestling, football, and track. He was the only male 4x letter winner in his graduating class. After numerous opportunities to sing with many different groups, Joe met Shannon and found what he felt God was leading him to do. Joe's major influences are Def Leppard, Skillet, Rev Theory, and George Strait.
