Sidewalk Citizens

Sidewalk Citizens is a band from El Paso, Texas. Stemming from the end of their high school lives and moving towards their futures, three friends; Stephen Hicks, Anthony Nunez, and Abel Salas began their venture in music in a way they never had before. Stephen had recently joined the Navy right after high school so the experience was very short lived. However, they managed to play shows when possible and when all together. In early 2015, after recording with a close friend by the name of Hector Camarena, Sidewalk Citizens put out their debut album titled "Life in Reverse" named after a conversation Abel once had with a close friend who had been struck by a drunk driver on July 8th of 2011. Of all the changes they saw, the year 2016 would be the biggest; one of new beginnings.

2016 marked the year of difference for Sidewalk Citizens. Stephen had left the group and soon following, Sarah Hope, a Godsend, was a driving force in their movement forward. Tony and Abel continued to work on the music and Sarah, after having moved from L.A. to El Paso, gave them a shot and everyone had won the lottery. Abel's brother Eugene was soon to join the lineup as a bass and keys player for the band and the last seeds were planted in their road to success. Now in 2016, Sidewalk Citizens is gathering attention in the El Paso music scene and Austin scene, Looking and sounding better than ever, Sidewalk Citizens will take words and turn it into sheer poetry. Abel and Tony's vocals, both strong together and delicate, will melt your heart as well as elevate the mood. The guitars and overall sound will change the way you feel in an instant.
