Shout Section Band

Brett Dean’s Shout Section burst onto the scene in 2008. ‘SSBB’ is one of the most energetic and exciting jazz ensembles in the Chicagoland area! The group is a full-sized professional jazz big band comprised of an exciting mix of Chicagoland’s talented up-and-coming performers and renowned veteran musicians. This band is intense, professional and affordable. Shout Section Big Band plays only the best examples of jazz, rock, latin, and swing. The band employs a large number of musicians who are also teachers, making Shout Section Big Band uniquely qualified to teach clinics for school groups.

The members of Shout Section Big Band enjoy performing for the incredibly knowledgeable students and audiences in the Chicagoland area. In 2009, the band was featured three times at Chicago's "Galaxie" swing dancing venue, Chicago’s national swing dancing convention (aka The Windy City Lindy Exchange) and on WGN Television.
