I honestly don’t remember how I discovered this special band, but I immediately fell in love when I listened to their single, Dream. The soothing voice and the mesmerizing piano piece mixes together into a cathartic expression that hits me hard very emotionally. I really don’t know how to describe it.
They’re unique in the way that each song shows a different aspect of their musical abilities. For example, I Like You The Way You Are, starts with a dreamy sequence that is complemented by simplistic electronic beats. Now going back to the first track, Ghost Inside, goes back to a more traditional guitar and drum setting, which is again, complemented by a minimalistic beat throughout the song. Their sound resonates with a strong emotion. And all I can say is that it truly is beautiful. - Neutralduo.com
There is a stunning depth to the songs on ShetheMonsters Pacific EP. The aching melodies cascade over the dynamic production finding a sweet spot between indie singer-songwriter and fringe pop. - Whatship.net
We are in constant awe of the sheer power of music. Even the most minimal of elements, a tender vocal harmony considerately paired with a sparse piano arrangement, can cause immense synaptic activity that can evoke such strong emotional resonance.
The band responsible for tonight’s bout of neurotransmission is Wisconsin five-piece, She the Monster. Lead singer, Andi Peot, channels an ethereal folk style with the help of her twin sister, Alex, to produce an incredibly stirring vocal harmony on their single, “Dream”. The delicate vocals, at times barely exceeding a whisper, give the song a fragility that is further accented by the tranquil keys. It truly is a moment of beauty. - Hilldilly.com
She the Monster is no ordinary band.
Okay, so the opening few bars from their lead song “I Like You the Way You Are” sound like the bastard child of a Radio One DJ and a whimsical contestant off of the X Factor. Fortunately, the following three minutes steadily progress away from the dance arena to enter a stadium reserved for She the Monster . Half soundtracked by the pop nougats of the past four years – think of anyone from Alex Winston to Pawws - the rest of the space is completely unique to the act. That’s what makes them no ordinary band; they simultaneously embrace and move away from the mainstream, beckoning listeners to follow them on their jubilant frolic of madness. - Drunken Werewolf

Bio
She the Monster's Indie Rock sound is influenced by Barcelona, Jon Foreman, Coldplay, Sufjan Stevens & Relient K. The beginning months of the bands existence were in the least bit ordinary when two of the five members continued to reside in Sydney Australia whilst the rest of the band lived in Green Bay, USA. This arrangement changed in December 2013 when all members joined up in Green Bay which is where they continue to plot their course into the start of 2014. In the 8 months of
being separated by the Pacific Ocean, She the Monster managed to record and release four singles as well as write and record several demo's in preparation for the future. If what the band has managed to achieve whilst being on different continents is any indication, their reunion almost certainly carries with it an exciting future.
She the Monster is Andi Peot (Vocals), Alex Peot (Vocals), Darren Oosthuizen (Guitars), Chris Calewarts (Guitars) & James Lennox (Bass).
Andi Peot (USA), an exceptionally talented singer/songwriter originally met fellow band members Darren Oosthuizen (ZAF) and James Lennox (ZAF) at a College in Sydney, Australia early 2011. Andi subsequently joined existing band, 'Nova Sky' founded by Darren, James and drummer, Kyle Rutten (CAN). After 2 successful shows in Sydney, they decided to end the project due to personal reasons. After a short break away from making music together, Andi contacted Darren and James, who had continued writing together, and shared ideas around starting a new band, something that would sound a lot different to the alternative rock style of Nova Sky. December 10th, 2012, the band which would later be named 'She the Monster' was born.
She the Monster includes Andi Peot's vivacious twin sister Alexandra Peot (USA), whose vocals and musicianship pair up with her sisters performance in the most unique way, and Chris Calewarts (USA) (Guitars). Alex Peot was the only other band member whom Darren and James had met in person, as she had studied at the same Sydney College in 2011. In January 2013 Andi started writing & composing with Darren and James and recorded a few demo's in their home studio. Soon after, Andi Peot returned home to the USA as her Australian Visa came to an end. Soon after the band agreed on the name 'She the Monster'. All five members of the band now permanently reside in Green Bay
