”I really think it's great that you play such diverse venues… I just love the idea that you have the versatility to entertain the senior set and then hit the bar scene. I really like the cuts from Cupcake, Mama's Coat and Wham Bam …those songs have appeal that crosses over our whole listenership.”

Testimonials- Nice things people have said about The Sheryl and Tom Duet
October 26, 2009 “We just wanted to send a BIG THANK YOU to you and the musician friends that played at the Our Lady of the Angels recent 50th Class Reunion. As you could see, we had a terrific time and there's no doubt that your music was what pushed the success of the reunion over the top. You played all those songs and tunes we used to hear when we were kids way back when. And what a good time we had listening, singing along and attempting to dance like we used to do 50 years ago. In spite of our "advanced age" we felt like kids all over again re-living the fun we used to have at sock hops and other dances. Everyone had the most favorable comments about SHERYLANDTOM and we all agreed that your music made the evening a success. Thank you again and again for all you did to make the OLA 50th Reunion such a terrific success. Most didn't want the evening to end and wished we could have stayed all night to dance and chat the evening away. We are grateful that Vito Grimaldi, one of the committee members, gave us the information about your musical abilities, and even happier that we enjoyed it so much. You guys ROCK. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Please keep us posted of local engagements you have. We'd love to listen to the group all over again!!! Annette F. Szafran, Administrative Secretary. Addison Police Department
September 28, 2009 “Thanks so much Tom & Sheryl for sticking around the yacht club yesterday…I loved the live music while I prepped dinner. I wish I had live music every time I cook.” Gina M.
September 14, 2009 “Thank you so much for helping to make the Wilmette Art Festival so successful. Your musical contribution was outstanding and we have been getting calls all day praising you and saying how much everyone enjoyed listening. I want you to know that I personally thought your music helped make the art show 10,000 times more wonderful. Thank you so much for participating and I hope you can join us again next year.”
Barbara Roseman, Wilmette Arts Guild
September 8, 2009 “I honestly don't even know where to begin to thank you. First of all...you guys ROCKED...seriously. We had the crowd in the building because you created the ultimate audio environment that drew people inside. Add to that your fabulous energy and enthusiasm (and your dancing-with-the-lion skills)...it was just perfect. I really appreciate your willingness to join in something that was so new. I am looking forward to seeing what is next in store for me, but please know that if I EVER has the chance to hire you again I most certainly will. I will also keep tabs on you so I can come and see you perform and experience it all without having to work. :o) You're truly an angel Sheryl...thank you from the bottom of my heart. Please pass my gratitude on to Tom and the rest of the band.”

This event could not have been the enormous success that it was without your group’s enthusiastic and delightful performance. The race was sold out at 18,000 runners. I hope the experience was fun for all and that you would consider returning for next years event.”

May 4, 2009 “Sheryl it was my pleasure to come out to hear your jam session!
Hearing the Sheryl & Tom Duet music on the web is not the same as seeing you live, so to get a good feel of how you operate, I HAD to come see for myself. And I'm so glad that I did, it was a great time! The vocals you and Tom have, coupled with his guitar playing and the accompaniment of the keyboard and percussionist, make for a carefree sound that people can't help but bob their head to and tap their feet. Keep playing!” Chandra Fitzpatrick, Account Executive WGN Radio, Chicago, IL

Bio
The Sheryl and Tom Duet bring timeless musical entertainment to any event.
Sweet harmony is their signature sound and this delicious ear candy will paint a picture in your mind.
It is the spirit of fun, and the love of the music, that keeps them connected to the echos of times past.
With the catchy riffs of 50’s pop music they have a set list to please Dream Lovers of all ages.
*Born in Chicago, Sheryl is a wide range vocalist. She sings both lead and back up and also plays light percussion. Influenced by the energy of the city, she writes most of the original music and lyrics for the band. "I write simple songs about, and for, simple people." A huge fan of the perfect two and a half minute pop song, her music often times has a wholesome 1950’s flair. She is an animated performer who claims that, “It’s music therapy, a dose of vitamin jam is good for the soul.”
*Born in the North suburbs, Tom is a dynamic performer and musician. Influenced by Blues and Rock and Roll, he melds the sound of each through his guitar playing and singing. Performing brings the compositions to life and allows him to share his musical vision. His philosophy is, “If it sounds good, play that!”
*Ben E. Miller shares his versitile keyboard with exciting rhythm and style.
Born in Chicago, Ben began studying bass and slide guitar at the Old Town School of Folk Music at age 11. He learned keyboards by looking over the shoulders of all the great piano players with whom he shared a bandstand. His fluid energy feeds the band and he believes, "Live music is best.".
*T. F. Holler and his bass back-beat arrive prepared and keep us grounded. Born in Elmhurst, and inspired by early rock and roll and rockabilly, he has a wide variety of musical knowledge. His favorite quote, "What, me worry?"
*Robert Horn shares his dynamic blues harmonica with inspirational energy. A music major in college, he learned to play the harmonica in the subway while waiting for the train. He said," It is a joy how the musical sensibilities of this ensemble mesh. I love playing behind the wonderful harmonies..."
*Twist Turner was raised in Seattle and has had a 45 year career as a songwriter, producer and drummer. He has worked with over 15 W.C.Handy Blues Music Award winners and 30 grammy winners including Buddy Guy and Junior Wells. His crisp tracks reveal his dedication to detail during recording and performing.
We extend our most sincere thanks to Joyride Studio, Chicago and Engineer Brian Leach for his attention to detail on our 11-21-09 recordings.
