Shelterbelt is the culmination of musicians from some of Boston’s best local bands of recent past. What started out as an opportunity to hang out and play music together, quickly morphed into something much greater. With influences ranging from folk to blues to straight up rock and roll, Shelterbelt’s eclectic style of hooky melodies and foot stomping rhythms cannot be denied. Led by the charismatic Tom Novotny (Mittens) on guitar and lead vocals, Brett Saiia (Frank Smith) on guitar and vocals, Winston Braman (Fuzzy, Thalia Zedek) on bass and Jonathan Ulman (Common Thrill, Muy Cansado) on drums, Shelterbelt will have you believing in music once again.
