Sheeba Darwin

A unique blend of angelic and gloomy melodys, swirling noise and electronic undertone. Held together with powerfull bloodthirsty drums and soft spoken harmonys. Not limited to one specific genre. Every song has a distinct feel purposely unlike any current music or artists. They all have been playing with bands in Cincinnati for many years. With the new lineup this group is finally complete and ambitious.

The band began as a solo project, with Matt Frimming playing all instruments. He recorded a full length album with George Fortse in 2004. It was a very strange assortment of noise and samples. Although it had been indroducing on Waif radio as a spotlight for Fortse's recording career, it was abandoned and never completed.
Over the next 3 years Matt started recording new songs with Josh Chiara while playing drums for the Eukanuba Jesus. The songs were a more polished sound due to Chiara's overproducing style.
After the Eukanuba Jesus fell apart Matt recruted long time friend and musican Zach Gies from the band. Together they played with a number of drummers under many different names all over the midwest including many clubs in Chicago.
By 2008 they had recorded quite a few studio tracks and had played with a number of notable acts including A Place To Bury Stangers. By late 2008 they replaced drummer Jason Anderson with Dale Kay. He seemed to be the missing piece and give the band a new sense of power. The band changed their name to Sheeba Darwin in light of the new lineup.
