"Nihal (BBC Radio 1)"

“S-Endz is one of the most electrifying live performers that I have ever seen. Like a cross between Keith Flint (The Prodigy) and Mark E Smith (The Fall). His unique vocal style is as unpredictable and energetic as his stage presence. Truly one of a kind.” - DJ Nihal

"Bobby Friction"

S-Endz is a maverick artist in an increasingly homogenized musical marketplace. Wilfully drawing on diverse influences from Hip-Hop on one side through to Minneapolis Purple Funk on the other, he works against most grains available to him. Unique & with a mind that enjoys throwing curve balls, he's definitely one artist I'd put my money on! - BBC Asian Network

Bio

S-Endz is an artist and producer from Birmingham, UK, a vocalist and songwriter in critically acclaimed electropop band Swami, and occasional presenter, actor and model.

Shooting to fame at age 16 following the release of the Swami album ‘DesiRock’ and it’s remixed international version ‘So Who Am I‘ on Sony BMG, the success led the band to embark on a world tour, including a headline performance at the MTV Style Awards. The title track would also feature in multi-platinum video game ‘FIFA World Cup 2006‘ and independent UK movie ‘Mischief Night‘. The popularity of Swami in India would lead to increased media exposure – notably Bollywood star Akshay Kumar‘s infamous dance routine to ‘DesiRock‘ at the Star Screen Awards. Upon being asked to work on a song for the Bollywood movie ‘Corporate‘ starring leading Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu, Swami bandleader Diamond and S-Endz co-wrote and vocalized a new international mix of the films theme song ‘Oh Sikander‘.

Swami followed this up in 2007 with their album – ‘Equalize‘, which spun two further hit singles – ‘Hey Hey‘ and ‘Electro Jugni‘, the latter of which appeared on two popular Universal Records compilations: ‘Shaanti presents….Mighty Asian Beats‘ and ‘Made In India Vol. 2‘. Swami embarked on another world tour to promote the album throughout 2007 and 2008.

Swami returned in 2009 with ’53431', a hits compilation to mark 10 years of the band’s existence. It featured their biggest song to date. ‘Sugarless‘ was one of two new songs on the compilation and while Swami toured to promote the release, the song took off. All critics, bloggers and DJ’s of the South Asian music scene would later declare it to be one of their top songs of the year. In this time frame, S-Endz also hit big with his first solo release. The ‘Outer Space‘ EP delighted DJ’s worldwide with a fresh new sound, dubbed ‘Neofunk‘. Reviews were unanimously positive with the new sound, a mix of heavy hip-hop and funk with electro, pop and rock influences.

2012 sees the release of the brand new Swami album "Upgrade", as well as the new S-Endz EP "Chapter 0" - already generating comparisons to Prince, Outkast, Kanye West and Nine Inch Nails.
