Seed, one of the better metal bands this day, and one of the five chosen for the Rock The Beach main stage, was playing in public for the first time, after wood shedding their mix of ear-bleeding metal and melodious hard rock in Owen Sound for about eight months.

Seed is a 4 piece band from Owen Sound, Ontario. Nominated for the Best Metal Award at the 2010 Barrie New Music Festival, their music has been described as a "mix of ear-bleeding metal and melodious hard rock". In a short period of time they have garnered a strong following of loyal fans with their hard hitting live shows.
Steve and Curtis met in the fall of 2008, and began having weekly jams. Trading off playing drums and guitar, these jams became an outlet; riffs were made, songs were started, but something was missing. Darryl and Justin, both friends with Curtis soon joined the jams and the four became a natural fit-each bringing their own unique input and style to the band, in the fall of 2009 seed was formed. Together they have composed a collection of original songs with a hard hitting, emotionally driven sound.
