EvElution (2015) a play on the word evolution to express how Second Echo (SE) has evolved. The album begins with a muffled fade in of their well known guitar heavy rift in Strong Enough. The muffled sound incorporates their humble beginnings and the first unmastered EP they produced in 2002. Strong Enough quickly departs from the cotton eared feel to a brilliant clarity showing their evelution of their sound.
Like Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails the frontman of the band Casey Stickley recorded all of the instruments on the album and engineered a new sound for SE using guitars with different tunings on the same songs. Innocent is quickly becoming the favorite hit on the internet radio stations such as Pandora and IHeartRadio, offering repetitive hooks that leave a new listener craving more. Innocent is followed up by the politically motivated song called F.A. Again Stickley is known for his vocal prowess and carries notes for several measures. Continuing on the catchy feel of modern rock infused with a little Zeppelin, Reservoir could easily lead to several people loosing their dancing inhibitions and making their way to the front of the crowd. SE has packed this album from start to finish with a quality body of work. The catchy, loud, and quality guitar solo’s have the ability to bring back the time with guitar solo’s were a requirement in the recording process. It would be unethical to not mention Stickley’s softer, pop’ier sound in the likes of Rain Down, Corner of your eye, and Only one.
All in all this will be one of my favorite releases this year. I hope to see it gain some traction and knock the socks off the Industry’s strangle hold. Get it at Itunes or Amazon on 5/15/15. - Broken Down by Zr Robinson

Second Echo has a mission to deliver the best guitar-driven rock available. They combine the finest elements of the classic and the modern which provides a unique and incredibly rewarding listening experience. Heavily influenced by bands such as Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains, Second Echo wants you to remember that rock is not dead.
Fronted by Casey Stickley, Second Echo was conceived in Ohio in the late 1990s. The early years consisted of late night writing sessions in barn lofts, countless hours playing shows in any venue available, and a couple of unproduced albums. The obligatory growing pains for any young band inevitably appeared, but the music never wavered. Second Echo persevered and an EvElution occurred.
EvElution is the perfect reflection of Second Echo’s commitment to producing exceptional rock music. The 11-track album demands your attention with hummable hooks, inspiring guitar solos, beautiful melodies, and even a hint of ivory. Weaving together elements of grunge, alternative, and good old fashioned rock n’ roll, EvElution is proud that each song has its own identity. That identity is also evident in lyrics that are memorable, powerful, and unapologetically honest. Second Echo has provided the very best they have to offer. No excuses. No Regrets.
