Elbert Gaynor better known as Shaquan D.O.N, is a native Baltimorean who grew up listening to records his father played as a child by musicians such as Frank Zappa, Steely Dan, Bob Marley and the Temptations. As Shaquan grew older, he fell in love with Hip Hop for its unapologetic truth and beats.  Being a quick learner, he taught himself how to produce, arrange, and write songs. Shortly after that, he was selling beats and writing for other local artists in Baltimore.  He then expanded his entrepreneurial interests and launched a television show called "SD TV" that aired on Comcast and local networks reaching over 300,000 households. The television show featured national artist like Talib Kweli, Camron, Ghost Face Killa and many others.  After that, he decided to pursue his interests in becoming a promoter.  As a successful promoter he gained corporate sponsorships. He decided to step away from that venture because of the lack of time being spent on his music and craft, and therefore, focused on his music career as a solo artist.  He currently has over 5000 fans through social media and over 5000 hits a month through his digital label www.sdgellc.com/sd. What separates Shaquan from other artist is his voice BEATS and his ability to tell an unapologetic story through his music which will render your emotions captive.  His electrifying live performance never disappoints, it's a journey where him and the crowd become one.  Shaquan is melodic, hypnotic, and psychotic with a pinch of logic!
